Greetings from the BlackBox Foundation!

We are an approved 501(c)(3) federal nonprofit status.  This is the culmination of several months of effort by our tireless staff of volunteers, so thank you to everyone involved! This means that we can continue to receive grants and donations to fund our work in Casa Grande and Pinal County both as a producer of high quality performing arts events, and also as an advocate for the fine arts and arts education!

Speaking of volunteers, we’re grateful for them, too! We have worked in tandem with several other organizations in our community, such as the Casa Grande Valley Historical Society, Casa Grande Main Street, and the Coolidge Performing Arts Center, to produce many high quality entertainment and educational events, and we couldn’t have done it without a cadre of volunteer workers from our organization and theirs to help with everything from setting up/tearing down events, selling tickets, helping with advertising, and many other jobs too numerous to mention!

It’s been an amazing journey since we had our first fundraiser April 2013. In that time, we’ve met and exceeded many of our first-year goals:

  • We have established a monthly series of performances at Heritage Hall;
  • We have started both a pilot theatre and strings program with the elementary     district;
  • We are in rehearsals right now for a production of the play “The 39 Steps” that goes up in January;
  • We continue to inform the public of ALL upcoming cultural and fine art events through our Facebook page, and with our weekly email blasts;
In addition, we have many plans in place to continue and expand the work we’ve begun towards becoming a comprehensive local advocate for the arts.
As you can see, we’ve been blessed with a great year so far, and for that we’re grateful to you, the public we serve. We are grateful that you come to our events, help us spread the word about great performances, and give us feedback on ways that we can serve you better in the future!
In closing, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your support. As you gear up for a busy holiday season, I hope that you will take a few minutes to consider supporting the BlackBox Foundation, in one of the three following ways:

, we hope that you will consider attending one or more local shows this season. Even if it isn’t a show that the BlackBox is producing, it benefits everyone in our community when people choose to attend local productions.

, please consider becoming a volunteer for an upcoming BlackBox event. We are always looking for volunteers, and will shortly have a ‘Get Involved’ tab for potential volunteers on our website. We’d love to have you!

, we humbly ask that you consider financially supporting our organization this holiday season. We rely heavily on individual and corporate sponsorship to keep our doors open so we can continue to operate.

Since we are a nonprofit organization, your donation may be tax deductible, and any amount donation can help! If you are interested in donating, please follow the link below, and thank you in advance for your support!

Take care, and and thanks for your continued support!
Stacey Seaman
